Meet Sara Aharon

Culture-Sensitive Communication & Career Growth Speaker

Sara Aharon studied leadership and executive coaching at Columbia Business School Executive Education. She comes to coaching from a background in the civil rights sector, culture-sensitive communication, and interreligious/intergroup relations. Sara is also nationally certified in First Aid for Mental Health. Today, she supports external clients and employees within organizations, focusing on career growth, health and wellness, and learning and development.

Sara is passionate about exploring how perseverance develops on an individual and communal level, and is well-versed in the importance of belonging. She is currently a Senior Career Coach at Flatiron School in the tech sector. She previously worked in interreligious and intergroup outreach at the Anti-Defamation League, one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations. She is the author of From Kabul to Queens: The Jews of Afghanistan and Their Move to the United States, and has spoken about her research at universities, libraries, and community centers across the U.S. She studied modern Jewish history and Middle Eastern Studies at NYU and Brandeis University.
