COMBAT IMPOSTER  SYNDROME

INDIVIDUAL ALLYSHIP & EMPATHY

Beginning with the definition of Imposter Syndrome (IS) and real life examples, Rise will ask the audience to share ideas. Discuss why we talk about Imposter Syndrome; how it can be debilitating for careers, leadership, and the talk through ownership of abilities and skill. Review the ‘Have you ever thought…’ section and exercises independently. We will bring up topics of conversation applicable to the workplace for further discussion outside of the workshop.

introduction

Rise will then kick off a conversation with the audience: Who has felt IS?; Did it affect your career?; etc.

participation

On a worksheet, participants will jot down notes and ideas from others’ stories that relate to their own experiences. It is important to bring to light when and how others can feel IS and build a community of support and understanding. The workshop continues through various exercises and conversations around IS (we can pick and choose based on your current curriculum). Participants are left with a framework to continue to develop the muscle that helps combat IS.
